PLEASE CHECK OUT THE NEW BIG NOIZE SONG "BATTLEFIELDS" POSTED ON OUR MYSPACE SITE

Big Noize was formed in 2007, in Nashville, on a Black Sabbath supergroup concept. All the members of Big Noize are musically related through Black Sabbath - either by playing with members of Sabbath directly or indirectly.

The current line up is:

Joe Lynn Turner, vocals- of Rainbow and Deep Purple fame

Carlos Cavazo, gtrs - of Quiet Riot

Simon Wright, drums - of AC/DC and Dio

and yours truly on bass of Ozzy fame.

Although the original line up included Vinny Appice on drums, he has found himself being the drummer in Heaven and Hell - the new Black Sabbath. We are really pleased for him with this recent success and we hope to work together again some time in the future.

The concept was to get together and to play all the sngs that we either wrote or played for many years in those bands, and the result is that the setlist is really quite impressive. We filmed a live concert full length DVD in Nashville that we used as a promotional product in order to start the ball rolling and the idea is to record our versions of these songs during the summer and have it available shortly thereafter. Some of our headshots can be seen below, as well as the trailer for the DVD that we have been using... Yes, it is a bit rough but it was never intended for public viewing!

I will post all of our concert dates to the left - please try to come out if we are in your hood!

Finally we do have a myspace site - click to visit and "Add to Friends"!

AFTER A GREAT TOUR OF IRAQ - we have some photos up on the MYSPACE site. I will be posting pics here very soon

EX-OZZY, DIO, DEEP PURPLE, ACDC and QUIET RIOT MUSICIANS BRING BIG NOIZE TO MULTINATIONAL FORCES IN IRAQ

(New York, NY-USA): Vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple/Rainbow/Yngwie Malmsteen), bassist Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne), guitarist Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) and drummer Simon Wright (ACDC) will bring their band Big Noize to Iraq and Kuwait in September. This rock and roll invasion is designed to increase morale and solidify the united force that bonds most all human beings around the world: Music!

Turner, who has his first live solo CD coming out in October on Frontiers Records (www.frontiers.it), is enthusiastic about performing for and meeting with the brave men and women from all countries who put their lives on the line every day. He says, "I have wanted to go to Iraq and perform for the Troops for a long time. Rainbow and Deep Purple have always had a lot of fans in the military. I tried to go via the USO as a volunteer musician and was turned down! We were overloaded with emails from service men and women, many who are big fans of this genre of music and wanted me to come over for a show. I know this will be a life changing experience."

Soussan, currently in the studio in Los Angeles, was thrilled to be performing for the Troops. Soussan explains, “I cannot imagine how hard it is to be so far from home and away from so many loved ones in such challenging conditions. And, at this time when there is so much debate and people are questioning what we are doing and whether it is the right thing to do at this moment in world history, our Troops have an obligation to make sacrifices, stand strong and defend our country at a moments notice. This is the least thing that I could do to remind them that I think about them all the time and enough to come and visit them in person and bring them a little piece of back home rock'n'roll."

The tour is organized by Jeff Thornton of Lone Wolf Entertainment and is part of the Multi National Corps Iraq program headquartered at Al Faw Palace in Baghdad, to bring entertainment to the Multi National forces stationed in Iraq and Kuwait.

Thornton says,"It's great to be taking a stellar group like Big Noize to the Middle East to play for and meet the all-star men and women defending our freedom: freedom that allow the guys in Big Noize to play the music that they want and rock the world."

Soussan continues "Regardless of political parties or viewpoints, 9-11 dragged the USA kicking and screaming into the ring of world politics, something that had remained somewhat external to the US until now. The world is now a smaller and more connected place as a result. The opponents of our country are also more unified and it has become a divided and serious place. 9-11 also marked the tragic loss of so many innocent people and the scars on thousands more who grieve their losses. For us to play on this day is vitally important, and a privilege, as it remains a landmark in our history and a tribute to those who have been lost and wronged.
When we said "Never to forget" we must mean that every 9-11 is equally important, be it the first one or the hundred and first one"

What makes Big Noize unique is its heritage and concept. All members have a related and connected past. The band plays a power-packed set of favored hits that its individual members were known for because they wrote or performed them during their times of biggest chart success. A Big Noize concert is a tribute to the bands that the members were integral parts of and a reunion for its extensive and loyal fan base. The set list is a explosion of anthems that topped rock and pop charts in the 70s and 80s and includes: Crazy Train –- Ozzy, Smoke On The Water - Deep Purple, Come On Feel The Noize - Quiet Riot, Stone Cold - Rainbow and more.

We are very grateful to Simon Wright who is playing in place of Vinny who is working with Heaven and Hell at this moment.
